There it is; done,
dusted.
2020 walks its ass out of the room and we slam the door in its face,
finally.
Not fast enough but, also, somehow,
too
fucking fast
still.
It's been a big year for everyone, honestly. But, while 2020 was one of the hardest years we've seen in a long time (especially here in sunny state Queensland), there is still so much light.
I watch as each of us turn inward, as we ask the questions we'd forgotten to ask and address the desires we'd lost; as we slowly unfold ourselves. I just fall more and more in love with the honesty and these people. There is always more magic where there is pain to endure and I thank us all for making love where there seems only fear.
There are a few announcements on my part, mainly to keep me moving and also to remind us what we're doing here.
We have been lucky enough to keep working through the outbreak, despite delay in future production. In fact, through this time we actually found stronger connections with Australian businesses in the writing industry, moving our amateur approach to one of greater consideration to those around us, as well as our own.
There are still currently copies of all current releases and international sale is still available, though services are likely to be delayed. Your patience is greatly appreciated through this time.
We are looking to release the prints rumoured throughout 2020, however disappointed we were to not have them ready by the New Year. We have returned to our original routes and are making sure to keep things perfect, especially when considering the consumer, but we are hoping to keep our deadline of February, for now.
A third chapbook is currently in early stages of production. We don't want to reveal too much yet, but I want to get everything done and underway well before I go back to study sometime in the winter, so we are hoping to have it ready for release this year.
Finally, just a big thank you to everyone for everything that's happened and all the progress we've made.
I, personally, could not have done a single thing without the help of all my friends, family and even the acquaintances. It has been a long road and it doesn't stop, it really doesn't, but to get this far in anything is proof of an incredible support system and a lot of good graces; I cannot appreciate it enough.
We reached 100 followers on Instagram in 2020 and, holy fuck, I said I wouldn't care for these things but it is truly amazing to think I have reached above and beyond my expected outreach.
Thank you for the purchases, the pushes, the support, the tips, the traditions and the absolute amount of love. This is something I have wanted and waited for and wished a long time; I do not take a minute of it for granted.
Please, just stay safe and as brutal as ever through these times.
Stay in touch, stay connected; stay whole and remember there is always some book, some painting, some ballad or some god damn piece of graffiti that will make it feel a little better. Take that risk today.
Lots of love and light and
legitimacy,
Charlotte E.E. Griffiths.
